Vet to Pet Mobile Services

Pet Supplies & Services

“We care for animals you care for.”

Pet owners can attest to the fact that a pet’s companionship improves human health and quality of life. When your furry best friend isn’t feeling their best, show them the same compassion. Vet to Pet Mobile Services is ready to help you help your pet.

The animal-loving vet has been hitting the streets to help animals in need since 2017. Travelling from Smithers throughout northern BC along Highway 16 and Highway 37 N, Vet to Pet brings professional veterinarian services to under-served communities. The list is always growing, with regular appearances in Burns Lake, Kispiox, Dease Lake, Stewart, Kitwanga and more.

Bring in your furry friend for wellness exams, vaccines, de-worming, spaying or neutering, dental and medical procedures. Fur is not a necessity, Vet to Pet Mobile Services welcomes your feathered, clawed, scaled and slippery friends as well.

There’s no need to be concerned about the cost of travel, pet health and wellness should be affordable. Customers only worry about service and procedure fees.

If you would like to arrange for the Mobile Vet to make an appearance in your community, a mutual arrangement can be organized with the operations manager for a cost. The team operates heavily via fundraisers and donations to make the mobile services a reality. Consider donating if you can, which earns you an equal-value gift certificate in services.

Vet to Pet Mobile Services becomes stationary during the winter months due to unsafe travel. You are more than welcome to book a time with regular, scheduled visits in Smithers, Telkwa and Hazelton during that time. Otherwise, the Vet to Pet team is happy to serve your community again in the spring.

To ensure your beloved pet is happy, healthy and cared for in a professional manner, be sure to call Dr. Kim Hunter at Vet to Pet Mobile Services today.

Meet Dr. Kim Hunter

Dr. Kim Hunter has been a practicing vet in northern BC for over 36 years now. She operated a well-received stationary clinic in Smithers, however, decided it was essential to hit the road and help out the surrounding communities as well.

Her genuine, animal-loving personality and personable nature make Kim the perfect pioneer for the job. She loves travelling to the various communities and engaging herself with both the people and animals alike.

When Kim isn’t caring for your valued sick pets, she gains her energy from holistic healing education. She is passionate in sharing with others the ability that individuals have to heal from within.

“After practicing veterinarian medicine for 30 years, I had wake up calls to make me realize that Western medicine was limited in its ability to help physical problems, and that emotions contribute to imbalance in the body of both people and animals,” says Kim. “There is extra beauty in knowing that working on a pet helps its human.”

Kim expresses her gratitude for her dedicated support team, who make everything possible.
