Rocky Ridge Resort

Accommodations and Tours-Camping-Sports & Recreation

Rocky Ridge Resort is a 105 acre nature destination. Surrounded by majestic mountains, clear lakes and lush forests, Rocky Ridge will allow you to unplug while recharging your batteries.

There are three cozy log cabins to choose from, all offering fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms running off of propane. The larger two log cabins accommodate up to six people, while the more intimate cabin is well suited for a romantic getaway for two.

For your enjoyment, there is a historic saloon for events with a capacity of 30 people indoors and endless space outdoors. The saloon holds two bathrooms, a kitchen and a wood stove. It’s the perfect place to host your rustic wedding, birthday party, or family get-togethers.

Guests with RV’s and tents are also welcome at Rocky Ridge Resort.

Meet Carole & Ueli Saurer

Carole and Ueli Saurer fell in love with Canada after visiting many years ago from Switzerland. They imagined a life full of rugged wilderness and crazy adventures and in 2012, they made their dreams a reality.

After a visit to Rocky Ridge Resort, the Saurer family knew it needed to be theirs. The site had been abandoned for over a decade, requiring some serious blood, sweat and tears. That wasn’t a problem for Carole and Ueli, as hard work was in their nature. The entire family pitched in, rebuilding everything from the ground up. “As a family everything is much easier. Everyone has their talents and strengths so we were able to fix everything on our own,” says Carole.

Ueli is the real handyman around the resort. As a previous farm-owner and lover of all things outdoors, Ueli keeps the wood chopped, the roads cleared and the grounds looking sharp. Be on the look out - he may even try out a few jokes on you.

Carole is the warm and friendly baking goddess who will greet you upon your arrival. She is happy to answer any questions about the surrounding area and can cook up a delicious homemade dinner for you.
