Jane Stevenson, Author
Meet Jane Stevenson
Jane Stevenson is a northern BC history aficionado who artfully weaves history into many of her works, which include books as well as short stories. Jane has been writing since she could hold a pencil and her various works have received nods from a variety of literary critics and organizations.
Smithers, says Jane, is a wonderful and inspiring place to be a writer. She is captivated by the natural scenery and likes to spend time outside when she isn’t writing. Her fascination with local history led her to study the northwest area extensively and she enjoys exploring in the local area museums.
Jane loves life in Smithers, not just for its inspiration for writing compelling stories, but also for its warm, friendly people. She appreciates that it is a safe community for her children and that they don’t have far to go to school each day and that there is “zero commute time!”
Enlightening. Educational. Connected.
