Meet Michael Nelligan

Smithers has it all and for Michael Nelligan, the community was the perfect place to build a business and raise his family. The diverse opportunities for residents to get involved with are endless and between the outdoor activities, sports, arts and music, Smithers supports an active and fulfilled lifestyle for all community members. Especially vibrant is the local music scene, consisting of an inspirational medley of musicians who make Smithers the wonderful place that it is.

Michael loves the connections that he is able to make through his home-based business. He feels a great sense of satisfaction in supporting others in their pursuit of music. Michael especially enjoys his “ability to take a musical instrument that is not functional and make it sing again!”

Through rigorous training, the HornCraft Music owner has built up his instrumental repair expertise since 2005. He obtained a two-year intensive diploma in musical instrument repair from Keyano College in Fort McMurray, Alberta; a national standard for professional training. Additional programs have kept Michael up-to-date and expanding his knowledge base. He stands behind his work, guaranteed!
