Meet Alan Read & Jessi Wright
Alan Read and Jessi Wright are big on family and have a special place in their hearts for children. Purchasing Big Smiles Kids Store in 2009 allowed them not just to work in a fun, kid and family-oriented environment, but also provided them with the financial stability that they needed to be able to build a life in the town they love. In fact, one of the things they most appreciate about Smithers is that there is so much here for children and families. “Smithers is such an awesome place to raise your kids. There are so many things to do outdoors and so many programs you can get involved in,” notes Jessi.
Alan and Jessi enjoy taking advantage of the many activities available in Smithers whenever they can. They and their family like to snowboard, camp and bike ride. You may also find them sitting around their table playing board games in their down time.
Alan and Jessi are also grateful for the fact that owning a business allows them more opportunities to give back to the community and make a difference. Buying a business, says Jessi, “gave us the ability to contribute more to our community and in more ways than we could individually.”
