Meet Graham Pollard

Physiotherapist Graham Pollard wanted to be able to work in a place where he could deliver a high quality of service and be an active part of the direction of the business. It's what motivated him to start Alpine Physiotherapy in 2000, and he chose Smithers partly because of a local need for physiotherapy services and partly because Graham was so drawn to the amazing community. He loves the spectacular scenery and, as an avid mountain biker, the fantastic local trails were too good to pass up on.

Being a business owner has allowed Graham not just the ability to shape the vision and direction of the business, but also to be in control of his own schedule and to provide stability for his family. Says Graham, "It also gives me a chance to connect on a more personal level and give back to the community."

Graham is excited about the future for local small business. He notes that the lifestyle and all the opportunities in the North are exciting and will bring lots of economic prospects to Smithers. For his own part, Graham volunteers within the community and likes to spend his money locally.
